About Me

To sum it up, I’m a huge fitness/health/nutrition/wellness nut.  I started The Dynamic Life because I’m insanely passionate about all of these things.  Everyone has a passion – what you think about, read about, what you want to learn about, what you just can’t get enough of.  For me, it’s human wellness.

I’m not a doctor, physical therapist, personal trainer, or nutritionist (yet).  But I have learned about and put into practice so many elements of “wellness” over the past fifteen years of my life and my aim is to share that with you so that you too may benefit from a healthy manner of living.

As a typical American male, I grew up playing every sport I could possibly get in to.  All of those athletic pursuits served as the birth of my lifelong passion.  I’m 29 years young and I am still very competitive in sports.  I play rugby in two separate leagues at the highest level in the United States – The Rugby Super League (RSL) and the American National Rugby League (AMNRL).  In recent years, I have represented the U.S. in international competition in Australia and South America, and my teams continue to be quite competitive in the domestic competitions.

I’m also a (new) triathlete and soon-to-be marathoner.  I’ve completed several triathlons over the past two seasons, including the NYC Triathlon.  In May of 2010 I will run my first marathon (New Jersey Marathon), where I aim to qualify for Boston 2011 by running sub 3:10.  With the increased training, I have been learning so much more and I hope I can pass some of that along to all of you in a valuable way.

Although in no way an evangelistic health-food maniac, I do believe in eating well and treating my body well.  Eating well is hugely rewarding for me – both intrinsically and extrinsically.  When I eat well, I feel well.  When I eat poorly, I feel poor.  It’s pretty simple.  I’m by no means a perfect eater and I am learning more and more about this topic literally every day.  The body is an amazing machine and I am fascinated by the way it reacts, positively or negatively to every little thing we put into it.  I sincerely believe that one of single largest problems with the human race is our extremely poor diet.  One of my goals in life is to help people learn about healthy eating and healthy living so they may live a more fruitful life.  This blog is the beginning of me realizing that goal.

On top of all that, I am a huge believer in the mind-body connection.  It amazes me how large of a role the mind plays in how our bodies react to healthy living.  I hope to learn a lot more about this and put more of it into practice as well.

But that’s enough about me.  What I am trying to say is that I feel like I have learned so much over the course of my life and, although by no means do I claim to be an expert, I feel I can truly help people to realize a more healthy lifestyle and an overall better way of living.

Thanks for joining me on this journey and I look forward to learning as much from you as I hope to teach…

  3. I got to your blog, through the AONC web.
Am glad and excited of have found a place like this, I have learned a lot about nutrition and health in the past years, cause my mom has diabetes, she is almost 64 and she has been so well during this past 10 years and no need of insulin, all because of her nutrition and exercising!! My dad also changed a surgery for nutrition, instead of treating the “head” he treated the ” feet” of the problem.

Will be great to know more about all this!!! 🙂

Sandy – Good to meet a fellow follower of Chris G! He’s awesome, huh? Great to hear that your parents are tackling their health issues proactively instead of just popping pills and injections like so many others. Diabetes fascinates me (seriously) because it’s a relatively modern “disease” and is usually preventable. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned…

  4. Hi,

This is a wonderful blog! It was a very good read.

I was wondering if you would be interested in guest blogging on my blog. It is a collection of my travels and the travels of my guests. If you scan the site you can see that now almost 100% of the posts are from guests. Lately I’ve been finding many people interested in guest posting.

Included in your post will be a link to your website using whatever anchor text or key words you wish and a description of your site (if you choose to include one.)

My blog (onetravel.wordpress.com) receives about 1000 visitors a day and that number is steadily growing.

So if you are interested in being a guest, please let me know.
